The Bag of Glasses

Once upon a time there was a woman who was sad. Why? Because she broke her glasses when she sat on them… by accident, of course. The Glasses Man said he didn’t have any more like them, making her cry because she loved them so much.  They gave her magic powers.  She could SEE. One day she met a young girl in a parking lot.  The girl said she had LOTS of glasses, and she wanted to give them away to someone who could appreciate them.  Maybe the woman would find a pair she liked! But alas, the woman lost her phone number.  She walked high and low looking for the Glasses Girl because she NEEDED those glasses!!  She had a very important meeting in the Capital of Style in just a few days, and she needed all her magic powers. As she sat despondently, her loving husband said, “Don’t give up!  Try one more time to find her.”  The woman wailed, “But even if I find her and she has glasses, I can’t get my prescription in time!!”  He responded gently, “Just try.  You never know.” So the woman went back one more time to the place where the […]
